Hi!

My name is Jen Lawrence Dale, and I am an artist, an empath, a wellbeing enthusiast, an endless optimist, a wife, a mum to twin boys, and a believer that finding a way to that stillness we all carry within us is vital to our sanity, as well as in finding balance and the presence needed to live life fully.

JEN’S STORY

Sound saved me. My rock-solid marriage with my voice and sound began at an early age, through the force of music and the freedom that singing instilled in me 20+ years ago. It’s the one thing that has been my constant and has helped me get through all kinds of emotions since the age of 15.Before I even knew that I would begin a career as a singer, I remember locking myself in my parents‘ basement after failed tests, heart-brakes, or teenage arguments with my parents.. singing out loud to Whitney or Mariah. Thank goodness I had that.1 hr would pass, and I’d come back out sweaty and relieved from whatever was weighing heavy on me beforehand. I literally sang it off my chest. In hindsight, I realize that at the time I wasn’t at all worried about sounding “pretty” (or like Whitney/Mariah) but literally used it as a valve or tool for releasing this fire I didn’t know WTF to do with. And now that I get to do this work, I realize how lucky I was to have chosen that valve, rather than letting all those emotions bottle up inside me. Then in 2010 I had my first mindful breathing experience when I embarked on a 10 day, silent meditation retreat, where I discovered the life-changing tools called, equanimity, breath, and meditation. The result of this retreat was mind-blowing and an actual explosion of sunshine and clarity in my heart and mind. At that moment, I knew, this was a feeling I wanted to invest in and tell everyone about. Initially, I invested a lot of time into these beautiful practices, but then I became a mum to my two beautiful twin boys, and my time bucket was cut down to zero. I didn’t have 2 hours to spend on it anymore, and I quickly noticed my well-being decreasing. I received advice from a very wise person, that I might want to bring back the most important elements into my life that kept me balanced pre-motherhood. And so I did: CONSCIOUS BREATHING, THE USE OF MY VOCAL CORDS FOR RELEASE, AND GENTLE MOVEMENT. And with that Soundful Breathing was born. It is truly the most fulfilling kind of connection when I get to share the tools that have helped me throughout my life and witness them bringing calm and bliss to others too.
